My Home Town

Dancyville, my home town
Has friendly people all around.
Each one has a smile of cheer
Which makes you feel they’re so close and dear.

Although we are not many in number,
We never let this be an encumber.
We each do our part to help each other
Just as though we were sister and brother.

As young ones leave to try their wings
In search of new and different things
Each one feels that this is their home
No matter how far away they roam.

As we look back through the years
There has been no disgrace to cause us tears
Therefore, as long as I live upon that hill
To me God’s country will be Dancyville.
