CHARLES LIPSCOMB COGBILL ~ October 11, 1964
Cogbill Rites At LaGrange Church Tuesday Morning
Charles Lipscomb Cogbill, lifelong resident of LaGrange and widely known Fayette County citizen, died Sunday afternoon at West Tennessee Tuberculosis Hospital after a short illness. He was 75.
Services were held Tuesday morning at LaGrange Methodist Church and burial was in LaGrange Cemetery.
A farmer and a merchant, he was a member of LaGrange Methodist Church.
Surviving him is his wife, Mrs. Allen Dancy Cogbill, two
sons, Dr. Charles Cogbill of Dayton, Ohio, and Allen H. Cogbill of LaGrange; two sisters,
Mrs. H. H. Richardson of Grand Junction and Miss Elisabeth Carter of Somerville and eight
grandchildren.
